Château Barbanau Featured in *La Provence*
On Sunday, June 28, 2026, *La Provence* published an article on Château Barbanau, highlighting the estate’s progress since its takeover in 2022. This is a wonderful recognition of the dedicated work Romain Tchenio and his team have been doing for several years—from the vineyard and the wines to the hospitality at the estate.
The journalist thus describes a domaine that “is charting a new course without turning its back on its past.” This phrase perfectly sums up our approach. Moving Château Barbanau forward does not mean turning the page, but rather continuing its legacy while remaining true to the terroirs that define its identity.
The article also discusses the changes underway at the vineyard: the gradual restructuring of the plots, consideration of the most suitable grape varieties, and a constant pursuit of precision in the wines. These projects are carried out with a long-term vision, in keeping with our commitment to organic and biodynamic farming practices.
This momentum is also reflected in our new vintages. As La Provence points out, they demonstrate a commitment to showcasing the terroirs of Château Barbanau and the unique character of each appellation even more than before.
Beyond the vineyard, our daily activities highlight our ambition to help visitors discover the estate in a new light by developing wine tourism and offering experiences throughout the year. Tours, tastings, lodging… there are so many ways to share our passion with wine lovers.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to *La Provence* and journalist Guénaël Lemouée for this feature on our project and on the women and men who bring Château Barbanau to life every day.
