When he took over Château Barbanau, Romain threw himself with conviction
into this life project. Aware of the responsibility that a wine estate represents, he trained himself at every stage of the business, surrounding himself with experts to go from enlightened amateur to committed winemaker. Faithful to the spirit of the place, he works every day to preserve its soul, while instilling an ambitious and lasting renewal

Jean-Pierre Confuron
Consulting oenologist
Owner with his brother of the famous 14-hectare Vosne-Romanée estate, he "fell in love with this exceptional site, which has everything it takes to make fine wines". As consultant oenologist, he is in charge of restructuring the land, improving the cuvées and renovating the facilities. He has become so attached to the estate that he now visits every month to monitor the vines and the vinification process.
Pauline Marbia
Vineyard team leader
Originally from Corsica, Pauline holds a degree in oenology from Bordeaux, and joined
Barbanau after completing an internship. Today, she heads up the estate's
vinification department, and puts her skills to work in the service of a lively and demanding organic and biodynamic viticulture
, paying particular attention to natural balances, maturity management and varietal adaptation to climate change.
Jean-Patrice Margnat
Technical Manager
An oenologist since 2003, Jean-Patrice has in-depth expertise in the wine sector, inherited from a family tradition rooted in wine since pre-Revolutionary France. With a wide range of experience in Provence, he has worked in laboratories, cooperative wineries, private estates and wine merchants, developing a global vision of the industry, from production to marketing.
Enthusiastic about actively contributing to the Barbanau project by putting his skills to work for its success and, above all, for the biodynamic and organic approach in Côtes de Provence.
Clotilde and Romain
Vineyard team
Working on a work-study basis at the estate, Clotilde participates in the various stages of winegrowing, following the rhythm of the seasons. She is fully involved in the work in the vineyard, from soil maintenance to monitoring the vegetative cycle, in accordance with the principles of biodynamics. Her daily commitment contributes to the quality of the grapes and the expression of the terroir in the estate's wines.
Marie-Odile, Clara, Florence
Customer Service Team
Always available and ready to assist you, they are the faces of everyday life at Château Barbanau. Florence and Clara welcome you to the boutique with a smile and attentive service, while Marie-Odile handles your orders. A dedicated team, there every step of the way to support you throughout the year with enthusiasm.
Coralie Gaillard
Customer service manager
A wine enthusiast and polyglot, Coralie is in charge of B2B sales at Château Barbanau. Also a product of a reconversion, she represents the estate to national and international professionals.

Throughout the season, the vineyard team strives to produce healthy, high-quality grapes in line with biodynamic specifications.
Patrice, Thibaud and Romain are involved in all stages of the winemaking process, from the seasons to the harvest.
Passionate about wine and nature, Florence and Marie-Odile are happy to welcome you to the boutique all year roundto present their wines.

A friend of the couple, he began providing training for Romain's team in his previous life, then coached him in his new life as a winemaker before, quite naturally, supervising the blends and contributing to the estate's reputation.
