Immense pride
It is with great pride that Domaine Barbanau announces the selection of its "Et Cae-Terra" - AOC Côtes de Provence cuvée by theAssociation Internationale des Rosés de Terroirs (AIRT). Founded in 2021 in Tavel, the AIRT brings together some fifty European winemakers united by the same conviction: rosé is a wine in its own right, worthy of attention and ageing, and above all, the bearer of its own terroir and identity. Their motto is clear:
"Rosés de Terroirs, let's unite!"

Rosé, a great terroir wine
Long perceived as a light, summery, ephemeral wine, rosé is now undergoing a genuine evolution. AIRT is campaigning for full recognition of rosés de terroir: complex, expressive wines capable of ageing, which tell the story of their soil, climate and the hand of the winemaker. And that's what we believe in at Barbanau too.
"Et Cae-Terra": the voice of our land
At our domaine, located between Cassis and the Sainte-Baume, this philosophy is a matter of course. Committed to biodynamic viticulture for many years, we work with passion and rigor to bring out the best in our Provencal terroir through each of our cuvées.
"Et Cae-Terra", which literally means "And here is the Earth", is a perfect illustration of this:
a structured, elegant rosé for ageing, combining aromatic finesse and mineral depth.
Its recognition by the AIRT is for us a real consecration and an invitation to continue pushing back the limits of what a great rosé can be.
The future of rosé is written with meaning, time and terroir
Beyond this distinction, we are proud to join a collective movement driven by committed and passionate winemakers. AIRT works to promote these unique rosés through tastings, communication campaigns, a cellar dedicated to rosés for ageing, and the structuring of a specific market segment.
At Barbanau, we believe that wines have soul. That rosé can be great, if it's sincere, rooted, and crafted with respect. This recognition gives us the energy to continue along this path, alongside AIRT and all those who believe in the power of terroir rosés.
